about
Sailing aboard the Dutch tall ship, The Wylde Swan, through the the Sound of Harris on a beautiful summer evening, Joe wrote the first tune. It remained unnamed until last summer, when playing at the Stonehaven Folk Festival. Kevin Clark, one of the organisers, asked if we’d be interested to name it for his partner - Anne Robertson. We were of course fully on board with such a lovely gesture, even more so when Kevin was good enough to pay us for it, in the form of a round of drams.
The maverick Fiona Young, box player extraordinaire, tunesmith and very dear friend of us all, wrote Ashley’s for somebody she met whilst working at Morag’s Lodge Hostel in Fort Augustus. We’ve never met Ashley, but we’ve no doubt that she is also a wonderful person.

Waited until I got to the CD and getting it through the letterbox before posting a comment. A really great album. From first to last, not a bad piece. And well thought through before selecting the place of each piece on the album. The singing and the songs are beautiful. Don't know how I missed it when it first came out.
Must be getting old. Terry McCarron
